Arts Ambassador Evelynn Chen has presented “Ignite the Curiosity” to 5th grade students at Illahee and Fishers Landing elementary schools. She shared her personal journey as a musician to 225 students! Evelynn gave brief demonstrations on each of her 5 instruments, including a playful story on the piano about a cat and a mouse which was a great way to capture the imagination! In her words: “Without this opportunity of giving back to the community, I would’ve never done anything like this, and it was so heartwarming to see these kids wave goodbye to me, see former teachers, and for kids to recognize me whenever I go to these schools or when I pick my sister up from the bus.”
