Here’s a selection of classes we offer:

  • Why the Arts Matter: The Essence of Culture
The data is in, and we’ve all heard that the arts are good for us. But why? Together we identify the many mind, body & spirit benefits of the arts for ourselves as individuals and as community. This class includes a variety of fun, simple and engaging hands-on arts activities. …”the arts have been an inseparable part of the human journey; indeed, we depend on the arts to carry us toward the fullness of our humanity.” (National Standards of Arts Education)
  • Storytelling & the Arts: Everyone has a Story
Whether music, dance, visual art, drama or literature, art is all about stories. Together we explore a variety of art forms and deepen our understanding of the beauty of storytelling and the sharing of the human experience through art.   “While philosophy and science help enhance our mind and body, storytelling stimulates our spirit. It broadens our imagination, teaches us valuable lessons, shows us that things are not always as they seem, and encourages us to reach our greatest potential.” (author Chris Colfer)
  • The Importance of the Arts in the Digital Age
Enspire Arts hosts an informative presentation demonstrating how the arts support the mind, body & spirit of today’s youth living in a digital society.  Led by our child mental health specialist, Kristin Harper, and pianist, Sarah Lightfoot, we explore how arts experiences are key to helping young people navigate the challenges of a digital society to build connections, develop empathy, self regulate, be mindful and have a strong sense of personal empowerment.   A presentation designed to serve any interested in the social/emotional development of youth – parents, teachers, school administrators, counselors & youth workers.
  • The Arts, Education & Student Wellness
We connect the benefits of arts in education and how arts support the mind, body, and spirit of each student. In a society with high demands of measurement and success, the arts play an integral role in the well being of students while simultaneously supporting academic success in a variety of ways. This presentation provides examples of arts activities designed to foster a positive school climate, an energized classroom, and to support the emotional wellness of each student.
  • Expressive Arts & the Art of Self Regulation
What is “self-regulation” and what does it have to do with expressive arts in a learning environment? Join our child mental health specialist to explore the brain science of why art experiences are so critical to mental health and learning. This workshop offers hands-on techniques that incorporate rhythm, movement, and creativity to increase a child’s ability to stay focused, and feel good throughout their day.
