Biography

Debbie Lee is a private piano instructor and collaborative pianist and runs a private piano studio in Camas, WA. Her mission in teaching is to equip students with the right tools—such as refined technique and analytical thinking—to perform with excellent musicality and technical skills. Debbie has a passion for teaching and mentoring aspiring pianists and musicians and believes in “The Learning Triangle,” the collaborative effort among students, parents, and teachers, which creates a nurturing space that helps students thrive and be creative, cultivating their love and joy for music. As a collaborative pianist and ensemble coach, Debbie brings a wealth of experience working in various ensemble settings, enriching her comprehensive approach to music education. Debbie studied piano performance and Taubman Technic at Univ. of Calif., Irvine, under the instruction of Nina Scolnik, and studied piano pedagogy in an apprenticeship with the late Dr. Doris Harrel. Debbie has been involved with Enspire Arts from the beginning as a founding board member, volunteering as a mentor and now returns to the board to assist with the Community Arts series.
