Biography

Sarah Lightfoot has worked actively as a pianist and private piano instructor for over 30 years, enjoying a wide variety of teaching and performance opportunities. While maintaining a private studio, she has also had opportunity to work in schools, churches, colleges, dance schools, and theater productions. Sarah graduated with a Bachelor's of Music from Western Michigan University, along with a minor in the German language. The opportunity to study in Salzburg, Austria brought a passion for collaboration, with special interest in vocal accompanying and piano duo. While living in London, England, she pursued pedagogy studies through the European Piano Teacher's Association (EPTA) and worked as a licensed teacher for the Bromley Youth Music Trust teaching piano in several London schools. Sarah’s belief in the power of the arts to inspire and empower the youth of today, led her to found Enspire Arts in 2017. She has completed also two levels of Creative Facilitation training with PYE Global. Sarah is always looking for ways to grow arts awareness and bring community together. She lives in Camas with her family and enjoys hiking in the beautiful NW outdoors, worldwide travel, cooking and gardening.
