Enspire Arts held a small reception for our 2020 Arts Ambassadors Shalaka Deshpande and Zach Braunschweig on Saturday, June 5, 2021. The Enspire Arts was so excited to finally meet these two young artists in person. Their journey as Arts Ambassadors began way back in May of 2020 with an online interview. Both Zach and Shalaka used their scholarships for voice lessons. Zach and Shalaka were determined to create community arts projects that would benefit the community, despite have to readjust several times due to continued COVID restrictions. We’re so proud of their efforts and their adaptability through this time! Zach led an online theater presentation for 5th graders to share about his experience in musical theater and how being part of the theater community benefited his time in school. Shalaka performed a Mother’s Day concert at an assisted living facility, providing entertainment for the residents there. They were able to interact with her and share their appreciation for the music through Zoom. Shalaka has also prepared a video recording of her music that can continued to be played for the residents in the future. Zach and Shalaka are bright lights in this world with great things coming in their future. We are proud to have been a part of their journey as young artists and wish them the very, very best!
